The Welsh club officially received council approval for the temporary stand on The Kop to open ahead of Saturday's clash with Newport County. The club has now made tickets available for purchase but it's important to note that these tickets are exclusively reserved for members and will go on sale from 4pm today, Thursday, December 21.

These tickets are strictly designated for members who have fully paid for their benefits. Fans who have subscribed to the 50 per cent off membership will only be granted the benefits from January 2, 2024. The extended stand, located at the derelict Kop end of the stadium, will not only increase seating capacity but also feature hospitality facilities. It will also see a further 2,289 supporters seated back behind the goal. Upon completion, the upgraded Racecourse Ground is set to accommodate up to 16,000 spectators.

WHAT WREXHAM SAID

Wrexham put out a statement that read: "Wrexham AFC are pleased to confirm we have received council approval for the temporary stand on The Kop, which will be open at 80% capacity for Saturday’s game against Newport County. For this game only, tickets are available to buy online only as digital tickets and can be purchased from our eTicketing website. There will be no tickets available from the Club Shop."
