Watt has experienced a rollercoaster of emotions during his short association with Burnley, with the joys of a Championship title triumph in 2023 being countered by the pain of relegation out of the Premier League 12 months on.
WHAT JJ WATT SAID
He will, however, be back for more next term and has seen a supporter request that he take part in a skill challenge when the Clarets return to action. Watt has confidently stated that clipping a ball onto the crossbar is “not much of a challenge”, with video evidence provided to back up his claim.
WHAT NEXT?
Burnley have plenty of time in which to line up a half-time show for Watt, with one more fixture left to take in this season. Attention will then turn to the summer, with another busy transfer window of comings and goings expected as Vincent Kompany seeks to piece together a squad that can bounce back into the big time at the first attempt.
