It was initially reported that the 18-year-old, who joined United in a £52 million deal ($68m) from Lille this summer, was facing up to two months out.

Hojlund, meanwhile, is set to miss six weeks after pulling his hamstring, according to . The striker will have wanted to make a fast start to the new season after flashing his potential in 2023-24, while Yoro figured to be an immediate starter for Erik ten Hag. It's a blow for the Red Devils, and an unfortunate case of deja vu after United's pre-season trip to the United States last season was marred by injuries to Kobbie Mainoo and Amad Diallo.
