25-Nov-2009Former Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) chief Raj Singh Dungarpur on Fridaysaid the Indian team’s performance in the ongoing Coca-Cola Cuptriangular series in Sri Lanka is very disappointing and "beginningto hurt.""I don’t want to go deep into it but I think skipper Saurav Gangulyis making too many mistakes, which in turn is affecting the team’sperformance," Dungarpur told PTI in Mumbai.Dungarpur, who is the National Cricket Academy chairman, said formerAustralian opening batsman and coach Geoff Marsh will be coachingIndian under-19 cricket team for the coming year."Marsh has been entrusted with the job of coaching the India A side,which has a busy schedule this year. John Wright is in charge of thesenior team while former Test player Roger Binny is the junior teams’coach. We wanted someone to coach the India A team and I think Marshis the right man to do that," he added.Dungarpur said the A team’s programme would start with the New ZealandA side coming here or the Indian team visiting New Zealand, while thePakistan A team is likely to come at the end of this year as the BCCIhas already received a letter from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)."The Zimbabweans are eager to come as well while the PCB is alsointerested in playing host to our under-19 side in October-Novbember,which will help them prepare for the under-19 World Cup in New Zealandnext year," he added. "I can also request the England boardofficials to have us over while Marsh is expected to be here soon tosubmit his report on Indian cricket," he added.
